We all know far too many people whose lives have been touched by cancer. That is why the Jefferson-Craig Student Council took action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

The Jefferson-Craig Student Council sponsored “Love Lights.” For a donation of 50 cents, a person received a light bulb to honor someone who is fighting cancer or in remembrance of one who has lost their life to cancer. 5th grade girls also contributed by making bracelets. Between the student council and the girls, they  collected $291.05.
