SCSC had 9 students who qualified to attend the BPA National Conference in Anaheim, CA. The students were in CA from May 5th- May 10th. During the national conference there were many opportunities to meet and talk with other members from the 22 states that are involved in BPA. The students were also able to attend the opening session and awards ceremony held the last night of the conference.
Besides competing in their respective events, the group was able to do a number of fun activities outside of the conference. They participated in a walk for March of Dimes, went to Griffith Observatory, saw the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Hollywood sign, went to Huntington Beach, went to Downtown Disney, ate at the Rainforest Cafe and attended a night of live music and food trucks outside of the convention center.
Two middle school students were called on stage during the awards ceremony to receive medals for placing in the top ten in their events and one student received 2 plaques as well for placing in the top 3 in two events.

Calleigh Powell- 7th in Extemporaneous Speech, 15th in Financial Literacy, 55nd in Business Communications Skills Concepts
Alex Edwards- 11th in Keyboarding Production, 49th in Business Math Concepts
Sam White- 17th in Financial Literacy, 71st in Business Math Concepts
High School:
Adeli Kinne- 15th in Advanced Word Processing Skills
Hunter Zorn- 2oth in Integrated Office Applications
Courtney Gullion- 23rd in Advanced Office Systems & Procedures
