The National Honor Society is having a second induction ceremony on Tuesday, August 18th, at 6:00 pm in the high school cafeteria. The original ceremony was canceled due to a power outage. Students inducted at the abbreviated ceremony in May will be re-inducted. Light refreshments will be served.
Anyone interested in playing football next year needs to attend the Football Call-out meeting this Friday at 6 pm in the high school cafeteria. Winter McCready, a senior, has been named a Semi-finalist for her Letter to the Author contest entry about 2001: A Space Odyssey, written to Arthur C. Clarke. This Indiana contest is part of the Letters About Literature national initiative to promote reading and writing.
Kortni Hite, 4th grader, in Miss Eckerty's class was the winner of the Flag Education contest for the entire district. She was awarded $100 check from the contest sponsor, American Legion.
